Set against the serene backdrop of Historic Yellow Springs, these all-level sessions invite you to connect with movement, breath, and the peaceful energy of the natural surroundings.
Each class will meet on the front porch of the Lincoln before moving to a designated outdoor spot on campus. From open lawns to quiet creekside corners, the changing scenery enhances every practice. In the event of rain or extreme weather, sessions will be held indoors.
Participants may purchase a 10-class punch card for flexible attendance or join us as a drop-in. Please bring your own mat, water bottle, and anything else you need for a comfortable outdoor experience. No prior yoga experience is necessary—just a willingness to move, breathe, and enjoy. Decorative Papers & Book Arts: Paste Paper, Journals & More

In this hands-on workshop, explore the art of creating vibrant paste papers and transform them into beautiful, functional pieces. Participants will begin the day by experimenting with a range of surface design techniques, using stamps, found objects, and even natural botanicals—gathered from the Historic Yellow Springs gardens or brought from home—to create unique, layered patterns.
As the papers dry, students will shift focus to simple bookbinding structures, creating reusable templates and learning how to construct journals, portfolios, or folded book forms. Additional ideas for using decorated paper—such as handmade cards, collages, and embellishments—will also be explored.
This workshop is perfect for artists, crafters, and paper-lovers looking to combine surface design with book arts. All levels welcome.

Intro. to Wheel Throwing: Monday Afternoon

This 10-week course offers a comprehensive introduction to the art of wheel throwing. Students will learn the fundamentals of clay preparation, centering, and shaping basic forms like bowls and cylinders. As the course progresses, students will explore trimming, attaching handles, surface decoration techniques and glazing. With hands-on practice and one-on-one guidance, participants will refine their skills and complete personal projects. The final weeks focus on finishing touches and group critiques, providing students with a well-rounded foundation in the art of functional pottery. Suitable for beginners eager to explore the world of ceramics.
