Zen-Blossoms: Floral Art on Canvas Pouch

$65

with Daniel Karakas, CZT

Calendar Next available session starts May 23, 2026 at 10 am

In this workshop, participants will explore Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) while creating a beautiful floral design on a 8.3" × 4.7" canvas pencil pouch. The session will include some foundational Zentangle® strokes, simple floral like motifs, and ways to combine structured patterns with organic shapes. Using special Sakura Identi-Pen® for crisp, permanent line work, students build a layered composition that balances pattern, texture, and flow. Additionally, color will be introduced as one of the hallmarks of ZIA. Each participant leaves with a functional, unique hand-decorated pouch and a set of repeatable techniques they can use in future projects.

*Basic Zentangle skills are not necessary.

Materials Cost: $15.00

Yoga at the Springs: Drop in

$20

with Amanda Will

Calendar Current session started May 15, 2026 at 12:30 pm
5 additional sessions through Jun 26, 2026

Breathe deeply, stretch fully, and ground yourself in a practice rooted in history, nature, and mindful movement. Yoga at the Springs is an all-level outdoor yoga experience set on the storied grounds of Historic Yellow Springs, where centuries of healing, community, and creativity are woven into the land.

Each class will meet at the Barn before beginning a gentle walk to a thoughtfully chosen location on the grounds. Along the way you’ll learn about the history of the specific site where we’ll practice that day. From the remains of the historic hospital to the medicinal garden, to the natural springs that gave Yellow Springs its name, each setting offers a unique backdrop and a deeper sense of connection to place.

The yoga practice itself is designed to be accessible and grounding, allowing movement and breath to be informed by the environment around us. With changing locations throughout the season, no two classes are exactly the same.

In the event of rain or extreme weather, sessions will be held indoors.

Please bring your own mat, water bottle, and anything else you need for a comfortable outdoor experience. No prior yoga experience is necessary—just a willingness to move, breathe, and experience this historic landscape in a new way.
