Enjoy the effects of Cold Wax as a medium for your Oil Paints while having fun experimenting with tools beyond brushes, such as palette knives, scraping tools, spatulas, etc. Try different painting styles and create as you please during two days of instructor guided, free style Oil Painting. Students can create paintings of their own design, references for ideas will be provided. You will also learn how to create inviting Abstract paintings based on real landscape scenes. Cold Wax is an excellent medium for abstract and/or loose realism but the creative options are virtually endless. Individual students have completed from one large painting to six paintings in this two day workshop. The possibilities are up to you! Join us for two days of ultimate creative freedom and fun! NOTE: All paintings must be done on solid boards when using Cold Wax. NO stretched canvas! Students can choose their own boards from various options including Ampersand “Gessobords,” Copper and more - the sizes are your choice.
