Chester Springs Studio Ceramics Open Studio

Open Studio is available exclusively to students (ages 16 and up) enrolled in a full-semester ceramics class. Students must register for Open Studio at the same location as their class to avoid transporting pottery between studios. Use this time to continue working on class projects. Tech support is offered during select Open Studio hours. 

Mondays 9:30-12:00

Tuesdays 1:00-3:30

Saturdays 1:00-3:30 and 4:00-6:30

Sundays 1:00-3:30 and 4:00-6:30

Painting Open Studio

Enjoy dedicated time to work on your painting projects in a welcoming, self-guided studio environment. Bring your own materials and explore your creativity at your own pace. This is a great opportunity to focus on your work, connect with fellow artists, and enjoy the inspiring atmosphere of the studio. This open studio time is for students currently enrolled in classes. All levels are welcome!

Life Drawing: 10 week card

This class presents the opportunity to draw, paint or sculpt from the human figure without formal instruction. Students may pre-register for a 5 or 10-week class card. Cards are good for one year from date of purchase. They may be used during any semester until the expiration date. $243.00 member price for 10 weeks. Drop-ins are welcome at $27 member and $30 non-member per class and must pay the monitor at the beginning of each class.

Note: Village Walks will occur Thursday August 21st

Pen & Ink: Line, Light & Shadow

In this one-day workshop, we’ll explore the expressive potential of pen and ink drawing. In the morning, participants will learn foundational techniques for using pen to create both line and tone, focusing on mark-making, hatching, and crosshatching to build depth and texture. Through guided exercises, you'll develop confidence with this versatile and bold medium. In the afternoon, we’ll apply these techniques to a variety of subjects—people, places, and everyday objects—working both with and without ink washes to explore contrast, mood, and composition.
