Intro. to Wheel Throwing: Tuesday Evening
with Eric Moore

This 10-week course offers a comprehensive introduction to the art of wheel throwing. Students will learn the fundamentals of clay preparation, centering, and shaping basic forms like bowls and cylinders. As the course progresses, students will explore trimming, attaching handles, surface decoration techniques and glazing. With hands-on practice and one-on-one guidance, participants will refine their skills and complete personal projects. The final weeks focus on finishing touches and group critiques, providing students with a well-rounded foundation in the art of functional pottery. Suitable for beginners eager to explore the world of ceramics.
This class is held in a ADA accessable studio space

On and Off the Wheel
with Suzanne Kent

In this class students will expand their throwing skills to create more complex pots which incorporate lids, handles, spouts, altering, and handbuilt components.We will explore a variety of glazing, decorative, and surface techniques that express a personal approach in your work. If you have an individual project in mind, let’s work on it together. All levels welcome to explore the many possibilities of clay.
This class is scheduled to be held in CCS, which is only accessable by stairs.

Special Topics: Throw & Alter
with Jessica Greet

Refine your wheel-thrown work by exploring techniques for altering and reshaping forms. In this advanced-level class, you’ll experiment with cutting, stretching, assembling, and carving to add personality and movement to your pieces. Designed for confident throwers ready to push their creative boundaries.
Prerequisite: Intermediate to advanced wheel experience required.

Zentangle I: Drawing for Creativity and Calm
with Susan Trembeth, CZT

Join us for a five-week exploration of Zentangle®, a meditative drawing method that uses simple, structured patterns to create beautiful, intricate artwork. Perfect for beginners and experienced creatives alike, this course encourages mindfulness, focus, and creative freedom in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Each week, you’ll be introduced to new tangles (patterns), techniques for shading and composition, and creative ways to build your own unique designs. As you progress, you’ll develop not only artistic skills but also tools for relaxation and self-expression.
No drawing experience is necessary—all materials are provided ($15 materials fee). If you can hold a pen, you can enjoy the calming, creative world of Zentangle!

Foundations in Drawing and Painting

Yoga at the Springs: 10 week card

Yoga at the Springs Breathe deeply, stretch fully, and ground yourself in the beauty of nature with Yoga at the Springs. Set against the serene backdrop of Historic Yellow Springs, these all-level sessions invite you to connect with movement, breath, and the peaceful energy of the natural surroundings.
Each class will meet on the front porch of the Lincoln before moving to a designated outdoor spot on campus. From open lawns to quiet creekside corners, the changing scenery enhances every practice. In the event of rain or extreme weather, sessions will be held indoors.
Participants may purchase a 10-class punch card for flexible attendance or join us as a drop-in. Please bring your own mat, water bottle, and anything else you need for a comfortable outdoor experience. No prior yoga experience is necessary—just a willingness to move, breathe, and enjoy.
