Raku Workshop
with Dina Schmidt
Experience the magic of Raku firing in this one-day workshop. Experience the mysterious, spontaneous, and immediate process of Raku firing. Bring 6-10 bisque fired, average sized pots made of Raku clay or stoneware (low-fire clay will not survive the process). All glazes will be provided. We suggest long pants and closed shoes if you wish to actively participate in the firing process. Bring a brown bag lunch. Space is limited.
Making Pots Personal
with Chris Staley
How do we learn to make pots that are uniquely our own? This demonstration only workshop will focus on both the how and the why of making pots. The intent is to lead us to a deeper understanding of our work. The demonstrations will explore new possibilities in making pots along with compelling questions and discussions. With an open heart and seeker’s spirit all are welcome in this shared search for meaning.
