Join our 3-hour class (for ages 16 and up) where you'll learn the basics of pottery, from centering to throwing. Take the plunge, choose your slip color, and craft two unique pots with guidance from our skilled instructor. Experience the magic of Raku firing in this one-day workshop. Experience the mysterious, spontaneous, and immediate process of Raku firing. Bring 6-10 bisque fired, average sized pots made of Raku clay or stoneware (low-fire clay will not survive the process). All glazes will be provided. We suggest long pants and closed shoes if you wish to actively participate in the firing process. Bring a brown bag lunch. Space is limited.

How do we learn to make pots that are uniquely our own? This demonstration only workshop will focus on both the how and the why of making pots. The intent is to lead us to a deeper understanding of our work. The demonstrations will explore new possibilities in making pots along with compelling questions and discussions. With an open heart and seeker’s spirit all are welcome in this shared search for meaning.
