Enjoy the beauty of Chester Springs as we explore and express the landscape in oil paint. In this class, learn visual skills to compose a strong composition to create space and mix colors. Sky, clouds and atmosphere and their effect on the landscape will be the core of the class. Drawing with the brush will be emphasized to develop brushwork techniques and skills. Demonstrations will be conducted in simplifying and blocking in the painting with bold brush strokes and color mixing.

Designed especially for homeschool students, this class places ceramics at the heart of the experience while incorporating complementary art techniques. Students will explore handbuilding, surface design, glazing, and sculptural forms, alongside drawing, printmaking, and mixed-media projects that support their clay work.

Projects are tailored to a mixed-age group, with skill levels thoughtfully differentiated. Beginners will build a strong foundation in wheel throwing through hands-on practice and personalized instruction. As confidence grows, the class will explore trimming techniques, handle attachment, surface decoration, and glazing. The final weeks will focus on finishing work and preparing pieces for firing. This class is ideal for those new to the pottery wheel and looking to create functional, finished pieces in a supportive studio environment.

Explore the world of clay in Building with Clay, a hands-on class that delves into various handbuilding techniques for crafting unique pots. Learn the art of constructing with drape molds, press molds, and other innovative methods. Enhance your creations with slips, oxides, and surface treatments like trailing, inlay, masking, and wax resist – all contributing to the emphasis on the finished form. Suitable for all levels, this power packed class features everything you need to know about Oil Painting presented in an easy to understand and enjoyable way. All students will benefit from an overview of techniques, mediums and supplies, while intermediate and advanced students can also get started on their own individual projects. Beginners will learn the basics and essentials of oil painting while intermediate and/or advanced students can get started on their individual projects. Everyone will learn techniques, tips and tricks, presented in an easy to understand format. Most importantly you will get individual attention for where you are in your own oil painting journey along with guidance for projects of your choice.

This class is perfect for repeat students who wish to continue their painting journey with consistent instruction as they progress as a painter. Students will also have the advantage of being able to choose from working on their own chosen subjects or advancing specific painting skills with customized lessons, all at your own pace.
